The quickest way to reach us is by email: newsletter@cyber-threat.net.

That one address reaches the editorial desk, whatever your reason for writing. It helps if you put one of the following at the start of your subject line, so your message lands in the right pile:

  • Tip: something we should be looking at, such as an advisory, an incident or an odd pattern in your logs.
  • Correction: something we got wrong. Please say which article and what the error is. Our approach to corrections is set out in our editorial policy.
  • Newsletter: anything to do with The Long Watch, including subscription problems.
  • Hunt Lab: questions about a query. For bugs or improvements, an issue or pull request on our GitHub repository is usually quicker.
  • Privacy: requests about your personal data. See our privacy notice.

Sending us something sensitive

Email is not encrypted; please bear that in mind.

Please don’t email us live exploit code, credentials, or personal data that belongs to someone else. If you have found a vulnerability in somebody’s product, report it to the vendor first, or, if it affects a UK government online service, through the NCSC’s vulnerability reporting service. We are happy to write about it once it has been handled responsibly.

If you would like to tell us something without your name being attached to it, say so in your first message. We will not name a source who has asked not to be named.

We read every message, though we can’t promise to answer them all.
